The Seattle Hebrew Academy is accredited by the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools. In 1998, the Academy was ranked by Torah Umesorah, an umbrella organization for Orthodox Jewish day schools, as the best Orthodox day school in North America.

The Academy serves students from preschool through eighth grade. It offers education both in general studies, including math, science, social studies, and language arts, and in Judaic studies, including Torah, Prophets, Talmud and Hebrew language. The program also includes computer and science labs, library, art, and physical education classes. A class trip to Israel is part of the eighth grade curriculum.

SHA specializes in small class sizes and the faculty provides an individualized approach to learning. Programs for divergent learners and gifted students provide each child with the support he or she needs to succeed.
Extended learning activities at SHA include participation in local and statewide science fairs, National Geography Bee, and Bracha bees.

The Academy's dual curricula are designed to inspire excellence in its students. Standardized test scores show that SHA students rank well above average scores for private and public schools in the Puget Sound area.

Northwest Yeshiva High School is the only full-time Jewish high school in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1974, it offers a dual curriculum of Judaic studies and college preparatory General Studies. Students come from all segments of the Jewish community and represent a broad range of religious observance and orientation.

Northwest Yeshiva High School emphasizes college preparatory education and individual learning plans to challenge each student. A wide range of individualized instruction is available, including ESL, honors and advanced placement, and Quick Start, a program for students with limited Judaica backgrounds.

In addition to training students to undertake serious study at major colleges and universities, NYHS graduates are fully prepared to continue their Jewish education at advanced religious institutions both in the United States and Israel.

Through the tuition reduction program made possible by a grant from the Samis Foundation and community support, the Yeshiva has reduced annual tuition to $3,500 per student. Other Jewish communities and agencies nationwide are studying the success of this pioneering program. No qualified student is turned away due to an inability to pay tuition.
